Flashback: U Festival @ Ngee Ann Civic Plaza ~ 170508 ~ Saturday

My fellow readers, how did you spend your weekend?

Well, for me, sadly i got to head straight to Ngee Ann Civic Plaza to help out for the U Festival on a WEEKEND!!!

The event was held in the open area outside Ngee Ann City. It was a great venue to draw big crowds especially over the weekends.

I wanted to take a bit of my own shots so I went there early.

Flashback: Diving Trip @ Paya Beach Resorts ~ 25-27 April 08 ~ Friday to Sunday

IMG_3894

In one life. Here's one adventure trip together to treasure for life.

This guy when I first met him, I swear it felt as if I've known him forever.

I was rather disappointed this time round when we deliberately went on a short diving trip instead, ive always loved going on a long good holiday!

There are so many places I wanted to go but so many things I had to do and alas, I didn't have the luxury of much free time especially in a month so close to May.

May is like the most important and busiest month on my corporate calendar!

For a short trip over the long weekend - 4 whole days and throughout the duration of my dive trip, I had this fear at the back of my head :(

That loads of work are piling, waiting for me to clear :(

IMG_3890IMG_1383

Unlike the rest, they have all the time & freedom in the world in the whole month of May :(

JUD&CHNG

I'm glad that Cheryl can join us for this trip ;) She is a cheerio, its never bored to have her on board ;)

Long-lasting friendships are instantly formed by going on a few holiday trips together ;)

Our coachbus transited at a stopover place for all divers to rest for the night.

~26 April 08, Saturday morning~

IMG_3901

Dar & i woke up quite early so that we wont miss our boat ride to Paya Beach Resorts.

IMG_3898IMG_3900

The rest were also waiting patiently, all hungry & sleepy.

IMG_3902IMG_3903

I laughed so hard when I saw these candid napshots ;)

The boys were so deadbeat, restoring energy for the first dive later.

IMG_3907

Gosh what a beautiful sight ;)

 IMG_3908

Ohkay the boys were finally up to see some sunshine ;)

IMG_3911

All so eggcited to go to our rooms to change into our swimwear ;)

Flashback: Diving Practical @ Outram Sec ~ 200408 ~ Sunday morning

us@Diving Practical

April marks the best time to go diving so it's time to kick up our diving gears and have a bit of fun!

Superb!!!!!!! I have NEVER, EVER been so excited for the longest time.... i wanna cry :(

Since our Taiwan/HongKong trip together last year.. Finally now i can go on another short holiday !

 IMG_3889IMG_3885

And what better way to spend a hot & sunny Sunday with good ol' besties in a swimming pool taking diving practical lessons ;)

Restrained was the word for it, all of us struggling to put on the skin tight dive suit with visible confidence.

It was an encouraging reminder that, yes, some things can grow worse with age.

DARIMG_3879ME

Here are several snaps for your pleasure ;)

I cant really find the word to describe such a memorablel experience, I'll let some of the photos do the talking ;)

All I can say is that it was a useful skill that we picked up and a fruitful experience we will all cherish deep in our hearts.

IMG_3881IMG_3887

All of us were deadbeat after 4 hours of training in the pool, but we literally enjoyed every minute of it ;)

Until next time (if there's one that is). Thank you so much to the warm & helpful instructors who made everything possible.

Flashback: Shelley's 21st @ Dbl O ~ 120408 ~ Saturday night

JUS&JUD

ELECTRIFYING! Its been long since we partied like this till 2AM !!!

Denise

Gone were the wild days.. when I remember we could easily charm our way into the clubs borrowing & flashing our seniors' NRICs even tho' we are under 18 ;)

JUD

I rem vividly back in those days, all I had to do was plead, smile & wink in front of the club bouncers to get away hauling my crap to the clubs w/o paying a single cent.

DBLO5

Or even had to act SILLY @ times to fool the bouncers?

DBLO1

Fast fwd to the present & all the clubs now are a bunch of penny-pinching, nickel-and-diming retards who would balk at you to pay the cover in order to get into the clubs.

DBLO4DBLO4

Kudos to Dbl O - Tonight whats happening; there is a Citibank credit card promotion so we just have to flash our Citi plat card and enter for free!

DBLO2DBLO3

MEANWHIIIIIIIIIIILE... it's just inappropriate NOW to spend so much on clubbing especially at this time of global financial turmoil.. HA ;)

USDBLO4

Anyway.. back on track

DBLO1DBLO2

Today we are all gathered here to celebrate Shelley's 21st ;)

DBLO3

Happy 21st our dear Shell ;)

DBLO3DBLO2DBLO1

Met one of the guys' St. Gabs classmate, Michael

JUDJusDBLO5

Its good to club occassionally. It was indeed a night of mayhem, we are all drained out, all ready to go back home to hit the sacks !!!

Flashback: Yanlin's wedding @ PanPac ~ 180308 ~ Tuesday night

P1130775_1

Weddings are always held in posh five-star hotels, with lavishly-dressed guests and food prepared by top chefs.

But for some, it was budget constraints due to the economic slowdown.

I know of some Singaporeans who would scoff at those who hold their weddings at void decks, CCs or even in restaurants.

Their logic: A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime affair, so anything less than an eight-course banquet in a hotel is not worth considering.

NO FRILLS

Honestly, a simple wedding does have all the elements that maketh a decent one.

Sans frills and fanfare. The guests were comfortably dressed in smart casual attire.

And for anyone who had spent a bomb on a just-for-the-occasion dress would have been the laughing stock at this kind of gathering.

p1

On this beautiful night, we are all gathered here to attend Yanlin's wedding held at Pan Pacific Hotel.

p3p4p2

The bride and her best friend Tammy, are friends we havent catch up for decades..

Everyone is rushing to snap a peekture with Tammy ;)

p6

Certainly there are indeed memories that rung a bell back to our slogging days @ Ritz.

p5

Am I the only gay person out there who is ultra excited for one of our good friend's wedding?

Apparently, im truly happy to see Tammy here ;)

p2p5

And one of our long lost friend, Benjamin Lai.                              First time meeting his gf ;)

p1p4

Of course Andy & Sidney, needless to say we still catch up very often.  And next May this loving couple is tying the knot ;)

p3

Actually Darling and i looked alittle tired, we didnt take the day off, we came directly from work :(

p1

Here comes the bride, we are all happy to see Yanlin wearing her million-dollar smile :)

Yanlin looked her prettiest, dressed in her elegant gold evening gown and had a perpetual glow in her eyes.

P4p3p2

The dinner ended pretty late, we are all ready to leave cause tomorrow is still a working day for us :(

 p6

A food for thought, just like every other bride, I wanted the perfect wedding.

So I will set to accomplish that.

Little did many realise what was involved in planning a wedding.

Hearsay, it was quite an experience and at times very stressful.

Nonetheless, Many enjoyed it thoroughly.

All every bride is looking forward is to enjoy and treasure every minute of the most important day of their life.

Just needed that 1 perfect day, as all weddings are meant to be.
